Anxiety disorders are one of the most common mental health disorders in the world.
I can help you live anxiety free! Category: Mental Health Conditions: Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Fears, Phobias, Stress, Depression Back to What I Treat
Is Anxiety the World’s Silent Epidemic? According to Mental Health UK, over 8 million people are experiencing an anxiety disorder at any one time. The Mental Health Foundation reports that although anxiety is highly treatable, less than 50% of people with generalised anxiety disorder access the treatment available to them. Left untreated, anxiety disorders can be very serious and can contribute to other health issues.
You may not think of something like anxiety as a serious health condition, it can however have major negative effects on both your personal and work life.
Anxiety need not be a life sentence. COACHD Rapid Transformational Therapyâ„¢(RTTâ„¢) and Hypnothrapy for anxiety disorder is an incredibly fast and effective treatment that can help you eliminate anxiety and panic altogether. My anxiety disorder treatment is available to anyone suffering the effects of these debilitating conditions. The types of Anxiety We all feel anxious every now and then. Anxiety is a natural reaction of your mind and body when you are under stress or pressure. Everyday anxiety can be uncomfortable but this is something most of us simply learn to live with.
Anxiety is a normal reaction to many events that happen in life. It is a ‘fight or flight’ response to those events and acts as an internal warning system that alerts you to danger. Most people can manage what might be considered a ‘normal’ amount of anxiety, from things such as a pressing work deadline, starting a new job, or going on a first date.
Happy events such as moving to a new home or planning a wedding can also leave you feeling anxious. Sometimes anxiety can even be beneficial, it can motivate someone to complete a project or prepare for an exam. Normal anxiety is usually only related to specific situations and events and is a realistic and proportional response.
However, in some cases, everyday anxiety can transform into an anxiety disorder. Such disorders can have a serious negative impact on a person's life. Anxiety disorders are a group of mental illnesses that keep people from living their life with any kind of normalcy.
Anxiety disorders are wide-ranging. For example, someone could have a Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder or something known as a General Anxiety Disorder. Phobias are another type of anxiety disorder.
In such cases, the anxiety may crop up unexpectedly or for no apparent reason, and the person may experience much stronger feelings and symptoms than those of everyday anxiety, which can be difficult to manage.
To treat my clients for anxiety or an anxiety disorder, it is important for me to explore the underlying root cause of the anxiety. The causes of Anxiety Anxiety disorders can develop from a complex set of risk factors including things like genetics, brain chemistry, life events or even personality.
Other risk factors for anxiety can include things such as stress at work or school, stress due to pain and illness, financial stress or even drug and alcohol abuse. Emotional trauma can also plays a major role in someone developing anxiety. Is it Anxiety or Depression? Depression and anxiety are different conditions, but they commonly occur together, and their symptoms can overlap(1). Because of this, I use a similar approach to treat both conditions.
The symptoms generally associated with anxiety disorders are:
Always feeling stressed, tense, and worried.
Racing or ruminating thoughts and living with constant nagging worry or anxiousness.
Constantly mulling over what is going to happen in the future.
Feeling painfully edgy and having a hard time concentrating or relaxing.
Experiencing fear, panic, or anxiety in situations where most people would not normally feel anxious or threatened.
Difficulty working, maintaining relationships, or leaving the house.
The general symptoms of depression are:
Feeling sadness or hopelessness.
Feeling a sense of despair.
A rapid increase or decrease in appetite.
Loss of interest in things you used to love to do.
Low energy levels.
Feeling overwhelmed by day-to-day tasks.
Feeling overwhelmed by essential personal relationships.
People with anxiety can develop depression and those with depression can develop anxiety. Quite often anxiety will present itself as the person's depressive state worsens.
Whatever someone is suffering for anxiety or depression, or both, they may have tried managing their negative thoughts and emotions by themselves. Be it by taking medications, using relaxation techniques, or implementing regular exercise and a healthy diet. In each case they will find some things to be more helpful than others.
However, these approaches alone may not resolve their issues since many anxieties and depression triggers have deeper roots and causes than just the person's lifestyle. For example, the way someone perceives different situations can trigger negative emotions and feelings. In other words, their mind and body react negatively to certain situations because of the negative stories that play out in their mind. Think of those ‘stories’ as the words they say to themselves and the pictures they create in their head.

What is COACHD Hypnotherapy for anxiety and how can it help? COACHD hypnotherapy helps resolve a multitude of physical and mental issues, including addictions, weight loss, eating disorders, insomnia, and many more.
Not so long ago hypnotherapy was considered an unconventional method of therapy but today it is backed by an increasing amount of research that validates the effectiveness of hypnotherapy for patient treatment. Hypnotherapy is rapidly becoming the preferred approach to treating many of today's psychological, physiological and physical conditions.
Hypnosis is integral part of hypnotherapy(2) and is a key element of COACHD Rapid Transformational Therapyâ„¢. Hypnosis is a highly effective treatment option for guided relaxation, intense concentration, focus and a heightened state of awareness.
During this heightened state of relaxation and awareness, my clients can explore feelings, thoughts, and memories that might be hidden from their conscious thinking minds. They are then able to overwrite any negative beliefs with powerful, empowering new ones. As a result, they are able to perceive things differently in their everyday life.
Reframing, ego reinforcement, age regression, parts therapy, metaphors, and anchors, are all methods and techniques I use in my hypnotherapy sessions to help release tension and manage anxiety disorders. Read more about COACHD Hypnotherapy. Does the Hypnosis in Hypnotherapy really work for anxiety? Researchers studying the effects of hypnosis and anxiety validate that hypnosis is an effective technique to relieve stress, fear, and anxiety.
One study(4) done in 2016 involved scanning the brains of 57 people who were undergoing guided hypnosis sessions similar to those used to clinically treat someone for anxiety, pain, or trauma. Brain scans showed changes in the brain activity of those under hypnosis. The brain areas that lit up showed that participants experienced greater physical and emotional control and more focused attention. The participants also felt less self-conscious.
Another study(5) revealed that self-hypnosis training was found to be a rapid, cost-effective, and safe alternative to medication for the treatment of anxiety-related conditions. The study revealed that hypnosis was an effective treatment for anxiety associated with cancer, surgery, burns, and even medical and dental procedures and can be just as effective for managing everyday anxiety.
Hypnosis can also help reduce anxiety before surgery. One clinical study showed that women who went under hypnosis before breast cancer surgery experienced less pain, fatigue, and emotional stress. They also required less anaesthetic during surgery.
Another study(6) done with students who were taught self-hypnosis showed that hypnotherapy helped reduce anxiety and feelings of helplessness. These effects were far greater than traditional relaxation techniques.
There is plenty of evidence that hypnosis really does work for reducing stress and anxiety. It is especially important for those taking medications to manage the symptoms of the anxiety they are experiencing.
In contrast to medicated treatments, hypnosis in hypnotherapy has no side effects. It is also a much more cost-effective and sustainable tool to help people manage anxiety or even resolve their anxiety issue once and for all. Contact Me today to help you overcome anxiety!
