COACHD Therapy for Depression

There Isn't a Depression Gene, and Treatment Is Available to You!

When you feel depressed, it’s hard to function properly, and life can feel overwhelming and lonely. For someone suffering from persistent depressive disorder, the effects of long-term depression can be debilitating. Depression doesn’t just affect individuals; it impacts entire families and can devastate lives. Even people who appear to ‘have it all’ can suffer from depression, often because of the pressure that has been placed on them from an early age to be high achievers or perfect.

Depression need not be a life sentence. My Rapid Transformational Therapy™ (RTT™) and Hypnotherapy for depression is a fast and effective treatment that is available to anyone suffering from the effects of this debilitating condition.

I Use Hypnosis to Treat Depression and Related Conditions

Collectively we must acknowledge that depression is causing great harm to people’s lives, relationships, and ability to connect and feel truly fulfilled. Depression is often associated with anxiety because they commonly occur together and require similar treatments. Other related issues include low self-esteem, low self-worth, and lacking confidence.

Many people use antidepressants to combat the symptoms of depression, which leads to dependency and a constant feeling of numbness. Many of those who take antidepressants are not depressed or do not need them. A recent study showed that depression in the US is being overdiagnosed and overtreated on a remarkable scale, with as little as 14.3% of those being treated meeting the actual criteria set by the medical profession for depression as the diagnosis.

The truth is, if depression stems from profound unhappiness or past trauma, you will never overcome that with medication. That is why addressing the source of the depression from a deep emotional and mental perspective is so often the answer, and where hypnotherapy and in particular hypnosis for depression comes into play.

Hypnosis is a century-old therapeutic modality that is proven to be effective in resolving all sorts of issues, including improving self-esteem and dealing with phobias, quitting smoking, supporting healthy weight loss, and treating conditions like insomnia and anxiety.

I have had tremendous success using hypnosis to treat clients suffering from depression, by teaching them to change their inner dialogue, reverse the habit of negative thinking, and improve their external surroundings.

I have helped my clients gain freedom from depression and countless other mental health problems using Rapid Transformational Therapy™ (RTT™) and Hypnotherapy, a method developed over three decades of therapeutic practice that includes hypnosis as a crucial aspect of its effectiveness. Is it Depression or Anxiety?

Depression and anxiety are different conditions, but they commonly occur together, and their symptoms can overlap(1). Because of this, I use a similar approach to treat both conditions.

The symptoms generally associated with anxiety disorders are:

  • Always feeling stressed, tense, and worried.
  • Racing or ruminating thoughts and living with constant nagging worry or anxiousness.
  • Constantly mulling over what is going to happen in the future.
  • Feeling painfully edgy and having a hard time concentrating or relaxing.
  • Experiencing fear, panic, or anxiety in situations where most people would not normally feel anxious or threatened.
  • Experiencing sudden panic or anxiety attacks without an apparent reason or trigger.
  • Difficulty working, maintaining relationships, or leaving the house.

The general symptoms of depression are:

  • Feeling sadness or hopelessness.
  • Feeling a sense of despair.
  • A rapid increase or decrease in appetite.
  • Loss of interest in things you used to love to do.
  • Low energy levels.
  • Feeling overwhelmed by day-to-day tasks.
  • Feeling overwhelmed by essential personal relationships.

People with anxiety can develop depression and those with depression can develop anxiety. Quite often anxiety will present itself as the person’s depressive state worsens.

Whether someone is suffering for anxiety or depression, or both, they may have tried managing their negative thoughts and emotions by themselves. Be it by taking medications, using relaxation techniques, or implementing regular exercise and a healthy diet. In each case they will find some things to be more helpful than others.

However, these approaches alone may not resolve their issues since many anxieties and depression triggers have deeper roots and causes than just the person’s lifestyle. For example, the way someone perceives different situations can trigger negative emotions and feelings. In other words, their mind and body react negatively to certain situations because of the negative stories that play out in their mind. Think of those ‘stories’ as the words they say to themselves and the pictures they create in their head.

To resolve the underlying causes, and eliminate depression from someone’s life forever, my Rapid Transformational Therapy™ (RTT™) and Hypnotherapy for depression is an incredibly powerful solution.

What Is Hypnotherapy for Depression and How Can It Help?

COACHD hypnotherapy helps resolve a multitude of physical and mental issues, including addictions, weight loss, eating disorders, insomnia, and many more.

Not so long ago hypnotherapy was considered an unconventional method of therapy but today it is backed by an increasing amount of research that validates the effectiveness of hypnotherapy for patient treatment. Hypnotherapy is rapidly becoming the preferred approach to treating many of today’s psychological, physiological and physical conditions.

Hypnosis is an integral part of hypnotherapy(2) and is a key element of Rapid Transformational Therapy™. Hypnosis is a highly effective treatment option for guided relaxation, intense concentration, focus and a heightened state of awareness.

During this heightened state of relaxation and awareness, my clients can explore feelings, thoughts, and memories that might be hidden from their conscious thinking minds. They are then able to overwrite any negative beliefs with powerful, empowering new ones. As a result, they are able to perceive things differently in their everyday life.

Research(3) reveals that hypnotherapy is a highly effective way of dealing with fears and phobias, substance abuse, eating disorders and low self-esteem, all of which involve forms of anxiety and depression.

Reframing, ego reinforcement, age regression, parts therapy, metaphors, and anchors, are all methods and techniques I use in my hypnotherapy sessions to help release tension and manage depression. Read more about COACHD Hypnotherapy.
